WASDI is a spin-off from the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), which markets HASARD technology for flood mapping. WASDI’s satellite-based flood maps have been successfully used in disaster response efforts in Mozambique and Myanmar. The spin-off, created in December 2020, has attracted the attention of organizations like ESA, LSA, and the World Bank, and plans to expand into new areas such as forest fire mapping and ship movement monitoring.
